As part of the process of preparing an inclusive productive development agenda for Guatemala, a study was carried out to identify opportunities for diversifying the economy based on the sectors with the best growth potential. The analysis process sought not only to understand the productive structure of Guatemala and its evolution, and to identify sectors and products with potential and ease of development, but also to know some qualities (sophistication, strategic value) of some products and productive sectors. 25 productive sectors were analyzed, in which it was sought to identify the gaps that affect their development as well as a design of initiatives to overcome them. The analyzes for these sectors are presented in the next section.
